Salary $45.00 per hour, full time 40 hours per week, permanent regular employment

Requirements:  construction trades courses or equivalent experience, minimum 5 years of experience in bricklaying, masonry, repair, renovation, historical restoration, able to work in physically demanding environment and handle heavy loads, personal suitability: accurate, reliability, team player.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units
• Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing
• Construct and install prefabricated masonry units
• Build patios, garden walls and other decorative installations
• Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required & set out job sites 
• Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
• Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces
• Lay or install firebricks to line industrial chimneys and smokestacks
• Restore, clean existing masonry structures
• Apply knowledge of historical restoration
• Install structural lintels & beams to engineer specification/drawings
