Job Description & Job Duties

Actor and Performer (NOC Code 53121) will be responsible for performing live in motion picture videos, social media channels, television and at various onsite locations. The candidate should be multi-talented with diverse skills of singing, acting, modelling and dancing.  

The candidate will also be required to perform the following job duties:

Singing and dancing tailored to the specific roles in live performances in concert halls, wedding halls, lounges, shooting locations or recording studios. 

Studying, practicing and analyzing role lines, expressions and gestures to interpret the roles effectively.

Portraying the assigned roles in motion picture or video productions, commercials and television shows by performing the narration.

Acting as fashion model for promotion of brands and clothing in ad commercials including posing for artists as well as photographers in TV, Radio, Print or Digital Media

Willing to be travelling to various onsite event locations where live performance is to be held in front of the audience whether personal events such as weddings or professional events such as cultural and festival events. 

Singing and dancing in Punjabi or Hindi (Indian languages), as per the event requirement.

Coordinating with the music group and dance group effectively during live performance shows. 

Singing as a solo artist or as a member of the vocal group in the live performance show before an audience or for recording purposes. 

Performing some administrative tasks related to uploading the recorded videos and audios on popular social media channels for marketing.

Job Requirement

• The candidate should have knowledge of English, Punjabi and Hindi. Almost all live performances at cultural, festival or wedding events will be held in Punjabi or Hindi language. 

• A bachelor degree in arts or related field is preferred and completion of secondary school is required.

• The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in the industry.

• The candidate should be confident, charismatic, talented, outgoing, passionate, hard working, artistic and creative. The candidate should be independent in managing the live performance and should have good presence on camera. 

• The ideal candidate will be highly reliable in organizing the live performance shows.

• Preference will be given to the candidate who can share their sample portfolio and have increased number of followers, subscribers or likes on social media channels 

• The ideal candidate should have received awards, recognitions and achievements in beauty contests along with certificates and have prior participations in the contest shows and live auditions related to fashion shows, singing or acting.  

Worksite Setting

The candidate will have the option to work onsite at either Regina, Saskatchewan or Halifax, Nova Scotia. The candidate will need to do occasional work using the laptop by uploading the video or photo of the live performance on social media for marketing and advertising. The candidate must be willing to travel to various site locations or venues where live performance is organized.
