Job Description
Location: Concord, ON L4K 4M3
Salary: $65.55 per hour for 30 hours per week
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee sales operations, ensuring alignment with business goals, while fostering a customer-centric culture that drives long-term revenue growth and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, vendors, and partners, ensuring successful event execution and repeat business opportunities.
- Lead, train, and manage the sales team, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and ensuring continuous professional development to meet organizational objectives.
- Analyze sales metrics and market trends, using data-driven insights to optimize sales strategies, identify areas of improvement, and forecast future performance.
- Monitor event planning industry developments and competitor activities, adjusting sales strategies to stay ahead in a dynamic, evolving marketplace.
- Representing the company at conferences, shows, and events to enhance its reputation and visibility.
- Track and analyze sales performance data, identifying areas for improvement, setting goals, and implementing strategies to meet sales objectives.
- Prepare and manage the sales budget, allocating resources effectively while ensuring maximum return on investment for event sales initiatives.
- Work with marketing teams to create promotional materials, campaigns, and branding strategies to attract potential clients and raise company visibility.
- Being prepared to handle unexpected issues or crises that may arise during events, i.e., expertise in crisis management.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field is required.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams effectively.
- The budgetary responsibility lies within $500,001 - $1,500,000.
- Deep understanding of event planning processes, including budgeting, logistics, and vendor coordination, with a focus on client satisfaction.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and strategies to collaborate with marketing teams for promoting events and driving sales.
- Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts effectively, demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision-making skills during events.
