Framer - Carpenter (NOC 72310)

Location: 2624 194 St. NW, Edmonton AB T6M 1L2

Salary: $35.50/ hour

Permanent employment, full time

Hours per week: 30-35 hours

Start date: as soon as possible.

Flexible hours, Early morning, Weekend

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Worksite environment: Noisy, Dusty, Outdoors, At heights

Work setting: Construction, Various locations, Renovations, Residential

Own Tools/Equipment

Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
