Stack Modular Structures Ltd O/A Stack Modular is looking for an Architectural Draftsperson.

Work Location: 1309 Kootenay Street, Vancouver, British Columbia V5K 4Y3
Terms of Employment:
Permanent, Full-time (40 hours a week)
Wage:
$ 84000 per year

Job Duties:

  • Develop and prepare modular designs, plans, and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, specification sheets, blueprints
  • Responsible for the architectural and envelope design, drafting, and coordination through the use of Revit and BIM-related software to provide digital representation of modular buildings projects
  • Operate Revit (Autodesk) workstation and maintain each project’s Revit model with the utmost due diligence and care while continuously updating as project information is received
  • Develop project shop drawings and modular design sketches in coordination with Procurement and Project Management teams to ensure a clear and steady transfer of design information
  • Create MTOs (material take off) based on complex analysis of design documents, and execute project schedules, from Pre-Con through site construction and installation
  • Collaborate with in-house architects, structural and MEPF designers, Senior BIM Manager and design managers to verify conformity of modular design drawings to project specifications on various stages of design
  • Assist business development initiatives including attending client meetings, generating modular pricing estimates
  • coordinating the outside project team to prepare project proposals
  • BIM modeling the architectural scope of the project so designs can be manufactured

 

Skills Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 year of experience in steel modular projects
  • Completion of a two- to three-year college program in architecture, engineering design, or drafting technology
  • Advanced knowledge of Revit software
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills in English.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
  • Willingness to travel overseas to orientate to modular manufacturing.
