Position: Painting Supervisor

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee, coordinate, and plan tasks for workers involved in painting and related finishing activities on both residential and commercial projects.
- Manage timelines, ensuring collaboration with other subcontractors for seamless work integration.
- Regularly inspect painting quality to ensure it meets or exceeds company standards.
- Oversee budgetary expenses, ensuring projects stay within allocated funds for materials and labor.
- Engage with clients to understand their requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns they might have.
- Comply with all local, provincial, and federal health and safety regulations during all operations.
- Provide estimates of potential projects factoring in time, labor, and material costs.
- Stay updated with the latest painting industry trends and techniques and ensure the team is trained accordingly.
- Address and resolve any internal team conflicts or disagreements with clients professionally.
- Manage inventory, track paint supplies and materials, and reordering as necessary.
- Address any work-related challenges, suggesting methods to enhance productivity.
- Order essential painting supplies and materials as required.
- Provide safety guidelines and company policies to the team to help them understand the aspects of the job.
- Evaluate team performance, recommending hires, promotions, or other decisions.
- Generate reports on work progress to ensure timely completion.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Degree/Diploma/Certification in construction management, painting, or related fields would be an asset but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 2-3 years' relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability in managing teams, coordinating schedules, and leading projects to completion.
- Experience in managing budgets, cost estimation, and expenditure control.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with clients and team members.
- A customer-centric approach, able to professionally handle client feedback and complaints.
- Efficient problem-solving skills, with the ability to address project challenges promptly.
- A flexible and adaptive approach to managing changing project scopes and timelines.
