Position/Job Title: Kitchen helper (NOC 65201)

Description:  Kitchen helpers, food service helpers clear tables, clean kitchen areas, wash dishes, and perform various other activities to assist workers who prepare or serve food and beverages.

Job Location: Vernon, BC

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: Will Train

Position: Permanent - Full Time

Number of Openings: 1

Wage: $20.50 hourly / 32 to 40 hours per week

Language: English is required.

Job Duties:

• Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
• Take customers' orders, prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, portion and wrap foods, package take-out food,
• Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas, load bus pans and trays, place dishes in storage area.
• Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units., remove kitchen garbage and trash.
• Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, scour pots and pans.
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars, receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
• Handle and store cleaning products, sweep, mop, wash and polish floors wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit.
