PALMASTER’S TILE & STONE LTD. requires full time 3 Tilesetters at its Location 603 1515 Broadway St Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 6M2
Your duties will be the following:
Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, build under beds, and install anchor bolts, wires, brackets, and tile strips.
Prepare cost estimates as required.
Set tiles in position, apply pressure to affix tiles to the base, and mix, lay, and polish terrazzo surfaces.
Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, and other adhesives using hand trowels, as well as align and straighten tiles using levels, squares, and straightedges.
Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
Install tile strips; Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.
Cut, polish, and install marble and granite.
Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
Terms of Employment: Permanent employment Full-time. These are year-round, full–time positions.
Start date: Start as soon as possible
Offered wage: We offer $27.25/hr. 40 hours/week.
Overtime is to be paid after 40 hours only.
Qualifications:
Completion of High School is required
Completion of 3 years apprenticeship program OR minimum 3 years of experience as a tile setter
Ability to communicate in English.
