Seafresh Products Distributors, Inc is a Richmond-based international seafood wholesaler and processor specializing in a broad spectrum of live, fresh and frozen seafood products. Seafresh Products started in 1991 and has established a vast network of worldwide markets. We import seafood from many countries such as Korea, Japan, America, and Europe and distribute them throughout Canada, abroad to U.S.A. We are dealing with live and fresh seafood products including Rock-cod, ling-cod, Dungeness crab, king crab, lobster, fresh etc. 

 

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Wholesale Establishment Manager. As part of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the seafood wholesale facility, including receiving, storage, and distribution of seafood products.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for the establishment. Track and analyze sales performance, expenses, and profitability.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and increase overall efficiency.
  • Monitor market trends to stay competitive and adjust pricing accordingly.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules with customers.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and ensure timely and accurate purchasing of seafood products.
  • Work with suppliers and logistics providers to streamline supply chain processes and improve efficiency.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing waste and spoilage.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility, equipment, and refrigeration systems.Ensure adherence to all federal, provincial, and local regulations related to food safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including restaurants, grocery stores, and food service companies.
  • Supervise, train, and support staff in handling seafood products, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain freshness. Schedule staff shifts, manage payroll, and oversee employee performance.

Terms of Employment:

Permanent Full-time employment

Language of Work:

English, Bilingual preferred

Wage:

$36 per hour, 35 hours/week

Skills Requirements:

  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 5 years related retail or wholesale management experience, management experience in seafood wholesale industy is preferred
  • Skill: Srong knowledge of computer systems that manage point of sale, orders, inventory, customer relationships

Work Location:

  • Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
  • Must be able to work in cold storage environments as necessary.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays, depending on operational needs.
