Starting Line Childcare Centre is looking for 1-2 early childhood educator assistants (ECEA) to join our team.

Job Requirements:

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and ECEA certification (ECE level 1)

Experience: 1 or more years of experience

Personal suitability: Punctuality, Dependability, Judgement, Reliability, Team Player, Values and Ethics, and Honesty

Job Duties:

• Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties,
• Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children,
• Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts,
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits,
• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods,
• Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors,
• Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.

Terms of employment: Permanent position

Salary: $18.00/hour

Benefits: Relocation costs covered by the employer

Work Hours: 40 hours per week
