Salary: $35.00 hourly
35 hours per week
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Designing, coding, and building websites based on client or company requirements. This involves creating web layouts, integrating graphics and multimedia elements, and ensuring the website's functionality and responsiveness.
- Implementing the visual and interactive aspects of a website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This includes working with design elements, optimizing user experience, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
- Developing server-side logic and database integration to enable dynamic functionality on websites. This may involve using programming languages like PHP, Python, Ruby, or Java, as well as frameworks like Node.js or Django.
- Monitoring and maintaining existing websites, performing regular updates, and addressing any technical issues or bugs. This includes troubleshooting problems, optimizing performance, and ensuring website security.
- Working closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to understand project requirements, contribute to the development process, and ensure effective communication and teamwork.
- Conducting thorough testing to identify and fix any issues, bugs, or errors in websites or web applications. This involves quality assurance testing, debugging code, and optimizing performance and usability.
- Keeping up with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in web development. This includes self-learning, attending workshops or conferences, and continuously improving skills to stay updated in a rapidly evolving field.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A CEGEP/ college degree in computer science, software engineering, web development, or a related field is often preferred.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as HTML, CSS, PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, and JavaScript is essential.
- Prior work experience of 3 to 5 years is required for this job.
- Familiarity with web development technologies, frameworks, and tools such as React, Angular, Vue.js, Bootstrap, jQuery, and AJAX can be advantageous. Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) like WordPress or Drupal is also beneficial.
- Understanding of database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL is often required. Experience with server-side technologies like Node.js, Express.js, or Apache can be valuable for back-end development.
- Proficiency in the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design principles, including responsive design and accessibility considerations, is highly beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug issues in websites or web applications are important.
