Position/Job Title: Carpenter (NOC 72310)

Description: Carpenters construct, erect, install, maintain, and repair structures and components of structures made of wood. They are employed by construction companies, carpentry contractors and other establishments.

Job Location: Surrey, BC

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Number of openings: 2

Position: Permanent - Full Time

Wage: $30/hr.

Language: English is required.

Job Duties:

ü  Maintain, repair, fit, install, trim, and renovate residences and wooden structures.

ü  Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, lightweight steel, and other materials.

ü  Review blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.

ü  Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.

ü  Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas.
