Job Description
Ebiten is a Japanese restaurant in Vancouver popular for its midday service, offering a variety of traditional and modern dishes. The menu features a diverse selection of rice bowls, including the Ebiten Bowl and Teriyaki Chicken, alongside Japanese curries like the W Meat Curry. Ebiten is currently looking for a permanent and full-time Food Service Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant and a food service
- Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
- Recruit staff and oversee staff training
- Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
- Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
Skills and Experiences:
- Completion of secondary school
- Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is asset but not required
- Must have a minimum 3 years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience.
Language:
- Communication skills in English
Compensation and Benefit: $29.00/hour, Extended health and dental benefits, Staff Meals, Bonus based or performance, 4% Vacation Pay
