Job duties

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Finish surface of woodwork in houses and building, using hand tools and paneling.
• Precisely measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join lumber and wood material.
• Work on new projects, remodels, or additions to existing wooden structures.
• Supervise other construction workers and follow safety rules and regulations.
• Prepare layouts using different measuring tools.
• Fit and install different trim items as required.

Position Requirements

• Completion of high School
• Completion of apprenticeship program in relevant trade OR minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in the trade
• Trade certification would be an asset but not mandatory
• Ability to communicate in English
