Job Description

We are looking for a child caregiver for our 1-year-old toddler at our residence in Burnaby, BC. This will be a full-time and permanent position (6 hours per day or 30 hours per week).

Work Location: 5254 Clinton Street Burnaby BC V5J 2L6

Compensation: $20/hour

Start date: as soon as possible

Job Duties

You will be performing the job duties mentioned below.

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals for our child at our residence.
• Prepare and serve formula to the child.
• Supervise, accompany and care for our child.
• Discipline him according to the methods requested by us (parents).
• Instruct child in hygiene and social development.
• Perform other housekeeping duties related to childcare, including washing child’s clothes, and cleaning up after meals.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment at home.
• Be available for emotional well-being.
• Do the Bath and dress the child.

Requirement:

• Completing high school is required, completing university courses or related disciplines such as teaching, and nursing is an asset but not required.
• Being able to communicate in English and Chinese is an asset.
• Have relevant work experience or early childhood care training.
• Have a strong ability to perform childcare work.
• First aid certification and CPR training may be required.
