Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Fabrication and welding in steel and aluminum
- Operate brake, shear, and other metal shaping and bending equipment
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
- Utilize hand tools and machinery, including press brake machines and calipers, to fabricate metal parts.
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques to assemble components accurately.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Ability to operate rigging equipment safely when moving heavy materials or components.
- Read and follow drawings and blueprints to set up, tack, and weld
- Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
Skills Requirement
- Completion of secondary school is required
- At least 1 year of experience in welding required
- Previous truck equipment and body installation experience an asset
- Bachelor’s Degree, Trade Certification or any Vocational Program related to Welding is an asset
