Location: Mississauga, ON L4Z 2G6
Salary: $35.00 hourly / 35 hours per Week
Overtime: 1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut wood and other materials according to specifications for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and precision in dimensions.
- Construct frameworks, including walls, floors, and door frames, utilizing various tools and techniques to meet structural integrity and safety standards.
- Install cabinets, countertops, and other fixtures, ensuring proper alignment and secure attachment for both aesthetic and functional purposes in homes.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements and translate them into practical applications during the construction process.
- Repair and replace damaged structures, including floors and roofs, assessing conditions and utilizing appropriate materials for effective restoration.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations throughout all stages of construction, maintaining a safe working environment on-site.
- Document project progress and communicate with clients regularly, providing updates and addressing any concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform ongoing maintenance and inspections of completed work, identifying areas needing repair or enhancement to uphold quality standards.
- Operate and maintain various power tools and machinery, ensuring they function correctly and are used safely in construction activities.
- Select appropriate materials for each project, considering factors such as durability, cost, and environmental impact, to enhance overall quality.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent is required.
- Demonstrated experience as a carpenter is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings accurately for project execution is preferred.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor, lift heavy materials, and work in various conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address challenges and adapt to changes during construction processes efficiently.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients throughout the construction process.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications consistently.
