- $16.65/hr., paid bi-weekly.
Duties and responsibilities
- Preparing meals and snacks according to production sheets, recipes and other menu document as provided.
- Setting up equipment and supplies for food preparation.
- Multitasking and prioritizing tasks and ensuring that food is prepared and delivered within a reasonable timeframe.
- Preparing all the necessary ingredients for making food.
- Monitoring ingredient levels, notifying management when supplies are running low, and assisting with inventory management.
- Communicating and collaborate with other kitchen staff, such as the prep cooks, servers, and dishwashers, to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintaining consistent quality in the food and inspecting kitchens and food service areas
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment of the kitchen
- Assisting in the orientation and training of new team members.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Education
- College diploma is an asset
Job Requirements
- Experience in same field is an asset
- Must work mixed shifts depending upon the schedule
- A friendly, enthusiastic attitude
- Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Physical requirements
- Standing for long periods of time
- Working in a hot kitchen environment
