Responsibilities
As a warehouse associate, we are looking for a candidate who can fulfill the following responsibilities: -
- Receiving Goods: Unload incoming shipments, check for damages, and verify that received goods match purchase orders.
- Inventory Management: Organize and store products in designated locations, keeping track of inventory levels and ensuring accurate stock records.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick items from shelves according to customer orders, pack them securely, and prepare them for shipment. Ensure orders are accurate and complete.
- Shipping: Prepare shipments by labeling, sorting, and arranging items for delivery. Ensure that shipping documentation is correct and complete.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or discrepancies and report any issues to supervisors. Ensure that products meet quality standards before they are shipped.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the warehouse clean and organized by following safety and cleanliness protocols. This includes regular tidying and disposal of waste materials.
- Operating Equipment: Use warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners safely and efficiently.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, shipments, and receipts.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Report any safety hazards or incidents to management.
- Assisting with Stock Replenishment: Help with restocking shelves and organizing inventory as needed, especially during busy periods
In addition to daily tasks like
- Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
- Clean and maintain office, supply area or warehouse
- Perform general office duties
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Identify, label and catalogue items received
- Maintain records on inventory control system
- Prepare and track work orders
- Process incoming requisitions
Credentials
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate will train
- Experience and specialization
- Computer and technology knowledge
- Inventory control software
- MS Office
- Internet
- Equipment and machinery experience will be an asset
- Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts and Pallet lifters asset
Area of work experience: -Fleet management and should have a valid Driving Licence
Work conditions and physical capabilities
Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Fast-paced environment, physically demanding
Standing for extended periods, Tight deadlines, Work under pressure, Weight handling, Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
