Kavin Group is a Human Resource and employement Agency with head office in Hamilton, Ontario. Kavin group is looking for a CHEMICAL PLANT MACHINE OPERATOR. You will be on payroll with Kavin Group but will be working with our client at their facility located in Mississauga, ON L5C 1T7.
Responsibilities
Tasks
- Receive all client waste – both bulk liquids/solids and containerized
- Load and unload waste vehicles including vacuum trucks, tankers, straight trucks and van trailer.
- Notify the Shift Supervisor/General Manager of any defects, damages, mistakes, errors, contamination, spills, other incidents or accidents that are identified
- Monitor instruments on one or more chemical formulation units.
- Comply with rules, procedures, safe work and hygiene practices, health and safety standards and use of personal protective equipmen
- Clean and maintain work space
- Measure, weigh and load chemical ingredients following formulation cards
- Record production information
- Start up, shut down and troubleshoot equipment
- Take samples
- Perform routine chemical and physical tests of products
- Adjust processing machines and equipment.
- Have basic knowledge of chemical processing machines used for mixing and processing checmical waste.
- Monitor reaction processes and transfers of products in conformance with safety procedures.
- Other tasks as assigned.
