We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated nanny to join our family and support our children in living their happiest lives. We are looking for someone who can provide nurturing care for our children. There are two children in our family, aged 4.5 years and 1.5 years, and we are expecting a third child. Candidates should have genuine love for children and a deep commitment to their safety and well-being. Position Description and Salary 

Position: Nanny

Salary: $18.50 per hour

Working hours per week: 40

Type of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Number of Positions: 1

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Location: Kelowna, BC, V1W 1X8

Work setting: Work in employer's home

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking; Repetitive tasks

Job Responsibilities 

• Bath, dress, and feed infants and children, including preparing formulas and changing diapers.
• Plan, prepare, cook, and serve meals for children, focusing on each child's dietary requirements.
• Oversee children's activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by the employer.
• Maintain a safe and healthy home environment.
• Instruct children in personal hygiene practices.
• Tend to children's emotional well-being and support their social development.
• Discipline children according to parents' requests.
• Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings.
• Plan activities that promote physical and mental development while considering children's interests and abilities.
• Manage children's schedules and responsibilities, emphasizing routine.
• Assist with homework and appointments, adapting approaches as needed.
• Foster confidence and emotional well-being by empathizing, understanding, and encouraging children.
• Promote independence while maintaining safety in a supportive environment.
• Take children to and from school and appointments.
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child.
• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Communicate with parents regularly about the progress and challenges of their children.

Job Requirements 

• Completion of Secondary school.
• Relevant experience or education.
• Ability to work without supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work responsibly and as part of a family team.
