Position:  Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA)

Terms of employment: Permanent / Full Time

Salary: $29:00 hourly for 32 hours/week

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Education: Secondary (High) School Graduation

Early Childhood Assistant (NOC 42202) will have to perform all of these duties:

• Assess the children’s development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs.
• Maintain daycare equipment and furniture.
• Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers
• Arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
• Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
• Engage in activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest.
• Assist early childhood educator or supervisor in keeping records.
• Engage children in activities by making them do different activities as per their age.
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
• Attend staff meetings and submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
