Job Description

Wage: $24.50 per hour (full-time position; 35 hours/week)

Location: 159 Rutherford Rd. South, Brampton, ON, L6W 3N5

Job Description:

• Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products
• Stain or finish cabinets to a certain colour with stains, paints or other materials using a brush or spray gun
• Operate woodworking machines [power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers]
• Trim joints and fit parts
• Apply toners, highlights, glazes or shaders to achieve the desired finish
• Apply lacquer or other sealers
• Smooth and shine the surfaces of cabinets

Work Conditions:

Physically demanding; bending, crouching, kneeling; combination of sitting, standing, walking

Work Site Environment:

Noisy, Dusty

Work Setting:

Millwork/prefab shopwork

Job Requirements:

Ability to learn and develop practical skills

Capable of observing all health and safety codes
