Northern Motor Inn is currently seeking a Kitchen Helper to provide support for the kitchen for smooth day-to-day operations of Northern Motor Inn.

Work Location: 3086 16 Highway East, Thornhill, BC V8G 3N5

Position Title: Kitchen Helper

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Temporary

Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible

Position Available: 01

Wage: $17.40 - $18.40 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)

Work Hours: 30 hours per week

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay or 10 Business Days of Paid Vacation

Responsibility:

• Receive, unpack and store deliveries of food supplies and equipment in appropriate storage areas such as the fridge, freezer, and stock room;
• Wash, peel, slice and chop food ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, meat and seafood;
• Dispose of garbage and recycling appropriately and clean kitchen garbage containers as needed;
• Clean and sanitize work area, countertops, kitchen appliances and kitchen floors;
• Support Cook with other duties as assigned.

Qualification:

• Some secondary school education is usually required;
• On-the-job training will be provided;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Working knowledge of English.
