We are currently searching for an experienced Architectural draftsperson. This position is critical to the daily operations of our business. The major responsibilities of this position include:

• Prepare engineering designs and drawings
• Read blueprints to determine work requirements
• Train new drafting personnel
• Develop and prepare design sketches
• Complete documentation packages and drawing sets
• Examine drawings for conformity and errors
• Consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements
• Leading/instructing groups

 You will be required to train staff.

Type of drafting:

• Free-hand drafting
• Shop drawings
• Detailing drafting

Type of product:

• Cladding for commercial and industrial buildings

Computer and technology knowledge:

• Internet
• Desktop applications
• Presentation software
• Computer-aided design (CAD)
• AutoCAD
• Autodesk REVIT
• MS Office
• Spreadsheet

Area of work experience:

• Fabrication

• D Modeling

• Willing to travel

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

• Fast-paced environment, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail, Ability to distinguish between colours
• Combination of sitting, standing, walking

Own tools/equipment:

• Computer, Cellular phone, Tools ,Office equipment and supplies

Requirements:

• 2 years of work experience

• Completion of a two- to three-year college program in engineering design and drafting technology or in a related field

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:

• Revit Certification

Terms of employment:

Permanent Full time with 40 hours per week

Hours of work:

From Monday to Friday

From 9 am to 6 pm

Salary:

From $ 29.23 to $ 33.00 per hour
