Location: Mississauga, ON L5S 1A7

Salary: $30.00 per hour for 35 hours per week

Number of vacancies: 1

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment

 Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on truck trailers, including inspecting brake systems, wheel bearings, and other vital components
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, including electrical and hydraulic systems
• Repair or replace damaged or worn parts, such as air lines, brakes, and suspensions
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software
• Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to solve complex problems
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
• Stay up to date with new technologies and advancements in the field of truck trailer maintenance and repair

 Basic Requirements: 

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience of 3 to 5 years as a trailer mechanic. or in a similar role is beneficial.
• Extensive experience with vehicle diagnostic equipment.
• Exceptional understanding of mechanical and technical information.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Manual dexterity, experience with hand tools, and physical strength.
