Duties and Accountabilities
- Maintain store standards by managing team members and delegating responsibilities.
- Coordinate with management to formulate and implement store policies, procedures, and goals.
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring effective execution and alignment with store strategic objectives.
- Set budget parameters, oversee spending, and track income to ensure financial health.
- Analyze consumer behavior, market trends, and sales data to forecast sales potential.
- Develop pricing strategies and adjust credit policies to stay competitive and profitable.
- Manage the hiring process, invest in team development, and foster a positive work environment.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with suppliers to achieve high-quality merchandise at cost-effective prices.
- Ensure that the store is adequately stocked and monitor inventory levels to prevent losses.
- Optimize product placement and store displays to increase sales and enhance the shopping experience.
- Craft and execute targeted marketing initiatives to bolster brand visibility, increase customer engagement, and sales.
- Enhance the customer experience by proactively addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and provide feedback to staff.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and handle security incidents in accordance with store policy.
- Ensure the store's maintenance and organization ensures a comfortable, clean, and safe environment.
- Assist in the development and improvement of retail strategies and processes.
Position Requirements
- Completion of Secondary School.
- A minimum of 2 years' retail management experience or experience in a similar leadership role.
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and delegate tasks, including experience setting clear objectives.
- Ability to handle complaints effectively and efficiently.
- Experience analyzing sales data and market trends to adjust sales strategies.
- Having excellent communication skills is crucial, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with financial planning, knowledge of retail financial metrics, and ability to analyze sales reports and forecast sales.
- Adaptable to new challenges, changing customer needs, and changing business conditions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed to address operational challenges.
- Candidates must be available to work weekends, holidays, and during peak sales periods.
