Job Description

Terms of employment: Full Time, Permanent, Overtime, Weekend, Day

Salary: $30.51 per hour for 40 - 44 hours per week

Anticipated start date: As soon as possible

Location: Unit 152-4438 Sheppard Ave East, Scarborough, ON

Qualification:

• Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
• 7 months to 1 one year experience in the field of telecommunications

Main duties of the Job:

• Install telecommunications equipment and related systems such as security cameras and surveillance systems, electronic access control systems;
• Ensure various telecommunications equipment be in good condition;
• Splice and test network cable using ethernet crimper and network cable tester;
• Configure operating systems and install software for access to the Internet;
• Operate computer and cellular phone to conduct service tests and determine the service trouble;
• Inspect and test operation of telecommunications equipment and transmission lines and cables for transmission characteristics;
• Diagnose and locate telecommunications equipment faults, adjust or replace equipment, and complete test reports and service records;
• Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks, wide area networks, mainframe networks, computer work stations, connections to the Internet.
