Salary: $26.00 to $29.00 hourly (to be negotiated)

Responsibilities

Tasks

Select the appropriate arc welding process {MIG or TIG} and operate arc and flame cutting equipment
Determine the suitable welding equipment or technique in accordance with the project specifications and the metal structure
Utilize angle grinders to prepare components for welding
Align parts using calipers, rulers, etc., and secure them in place with clamps
Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
Perform specific welds with precision, inspect workpieces for any imperfections, and use straightedges to measure workpieces, ensuring they meet the required specifications

Repair and fabricate truck bodies by welding pieces and filling gaps
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws and perform minor repairs
Cut and assemble metal components to fabricate or repair vehicle parts, machinery, structures, and other items
