Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Work start date: As soon as possible
Wage rate: $29.50 per hour for 40 hours per week.

Language: English (basic)
Benefits: 4 % Vacation pay

 

A.G.L Glazing Inc. located in the lower mainland is looking for 2 glaziers to join its team.

Job Duties:

• Read blueprints or work order specifications to determine the type and thickness of glass for installation procedures.

• Repair and service residential windows, commercial aluminum doors, and other glass supporting structures, and replace damaged glass or faulty sealant.
• Install, fit, fabricate, and attach architectural metals or related substitute products in commercial and residential buildings.
• Position glass panes into frames and secure glass using clips, points, or mouldings.
• Tint glass and create patterns on glass by etching, sandblasting, or painting designs.

• Install pre-cut mirrors and opaque to form exterior walls of buildings.
• Measure and cut glass using glass cutters or computerized cutters.
• Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolds, rigging, and hoisting equipment.

• May prepare cost estimates for clients.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding.

                         

Weight Handling: Lift up to 50 lbs.

 

Essential Skills: Team player, flexible, reliable, attention to detail, effective interpersonal skills

 

Job Requirements:
Education: No specific education is required

Experience: 3 or more years of experience in a related field is required

Language: Basic English

 

Working setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time on weekends, if required.
