Job Description
Salary: $18.00 per hour / full-time position (40 hours per week)
Main Duties of the Job:
- Specialization in preparing Tandoori (clay oven) dishes.
- Prepare assortment of Indian breads, including Garlic naan, Stuffed naan, Keema naan, Peshawari naan and Lachha Prantha.
- Follow recipes and prepare dishes according to traditional methods.
- Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.
- Work with kitchen staff and oversee the preparation, cooking and handling of food.
- Inspect supplies, equipment and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
- Inspect and clean kitchen and food service areas.
- Estimate food requirements and requisition food or other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation.
- Check the quantity and quality of received products.
- Prepare and plan new dishes as per customer demand.
- Prepare special orders.
- Uphold highest quality and food safety standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of commercial cooking experience specializing in Tandoori-style cuisine
- Secondary school studies
