Job Description:
A reliable caregiver is required to help look after my wife and me. We are residing in Surrey, BC. Duties include companionship and administering medication as per doctor’s order if necessary. Assist in dressing and in performing daily hygiene routines such as bathing, mobility assistance performing light housekeeping which include laundry, preparing, and serving nutritious meals and snacks, and taking to and from doctor’s appointment and other scheduled appointment. The position is a live out however free accommodation will be provided if deserving applicants prefer to do live-in for her or his convenience.
DUTIES
ü Prepare and serve fresh and healthy meals every day.
ü Assist in dressing up and getting ready.
ü Keep a safe and clean environment.
ü Assist in day-to-day activities.
ü Take elders out for short walks to nearby parks.
ü Entertain elders by reading newspapers and magazines.
ü Accompany elders during doctor's appointments.
ü Keep records of elder physical health and medications.
Employment Requirements:
ü Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
ü First Aid Certificate or Health Care Aide Certificate is an asset
ü Experience of at least 6 months
ü Criminal record check
ü Language: English
