Location: Mississauga, ON L5N 8P7
Salary: $20.15 per hour for 40 hours per week
Number of vacancies: 1
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
Job Type: Permanent employment
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure smooth operations of the restaurant.
- Provide training and mentoring to the staff and servers and helpers.
- Participates in development and delivery of training and performance management, and may participate in staff selection.
- Prepared and supervised food preparation in accordance with prescribed specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations.
- Coordinated activities among various departments; such as kitchen, dining room, café, and other operations.
- Managed inventory, ordered supplies & equipment, supervised sanitation and overall upkeep of the dining facility.
- Responsible for the daily operations of dining facility, including opening and closing. Assisting in the overall preparation and serving of meals to guests.
- Prepares timetables, work schedules, cleaning schedules or coordinates their preparation.
- May develop policies and procedures for operation of services.
- Supervises work area, equipment cleaning and maintenance and ensures adherence to all safety procedures pertaining to work methods, equipment operation and fire safety
Eligibility Requirements:
- College/CEGEP level education
- Any experience as food service supervisor for 1 years to less than 2 years
- Ability to adapt and succeed in a fast paced environment
- Required combination of sitting, walking, standing for extended hours
- Physically demanding job
- Ability to supervise 3-4 people
- Good English communication and writing skills
- Desire to mentor and build a great team culture
- Excellent attention to detail and general organization skills
