Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic (NOC 72401)
Salary: $41.00/Hr.
Permanent employment, Full time, 30 to 40 hours/week
Start: As soon as possible
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Work site environment: Outdoors

Task:
John Deere controls
Operate heavy equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and
specifications
Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment
tanks
Operate computer controlled equipment
Utilize material safety data sheets (MSDS)
Complete onboard and other logs
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
Prepare accident reports
Secure special attachments to equipment
Operate two-way radios and other communication
equipment
Perform minor repairs to equipment
Supervise workers and projects
Prepare production and other reports
Establish methods to meet work schedules
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Co-ordinate and schedule activities
Co-ordinate work activities with other project
supervisors or managers
Requisition materials and supplies
Resolve work problems and recommend measures
to improve productivity
