Position Description

Position: Construction Helper

Type of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

No of positions: 2

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible.

Work Location: Surrey, BC & various work sites in the lower mainland, BC area as per the company’s contracts with its clients.

Salary: $21.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradespersons at the work site by providing them tools, equipment, and other materials as required and assisting in their other activities.
• Load, unload, and move construction materials to and from the work site.
• Install and dismantle temporary structures, such as scaffolds and barricades etc.
• Clean and prepare the surfaces.
• Mix, pour and spread materials as per tradesman's instructions.
• Remove rubble and debris from the work site.
• Collect and store construction equipment and tools at a safe place after each work shift.
• Follow all safety procedures on the work sites.

Job Requirements

• Some work experience in construction would be an asset but not mandatory.
• Ability to communicate in English.
