We are seeking for a determined and motivated Early Childhood Educator to join our team and to support our educators to create a unique curriculum tailored to the children in the program. Salary: $23.50 per hour
Employment conditions: Morning, Day, Flexible hours
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and develop appropriate programs and activities based on observation of individual children.
- Maintain and update individual record of children as taking notes of their activities at the daycare center.
- Design and develop learning programs to meet children’s physical, intellectual, social, cultural, and emotional needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and community service providers to provide children with quality services.
- Discuss progress and problems with parents and staff regarding children's abilities, interests, and needs.
- Develop listening, comprehension and motor skills using approved subjects in storytelling, role playing, games, music, and creative art activities.
- Observe and report signs of potential learning or behavioral problems to parents, guardians, or supervisors.
- Supervise both indoor and outdoor play times including community trips.
- Develop and maintain an environment that protects children's health, safety, and well-being.
- Co-ordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
Qualifications Required
- Completion 2- to 4-year college program in early childhood education or a bachelor’s degree in child development.
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
- Strong organizational, planning and communication skills.
- Ability to exercise patience when interacting with children.
- Strong interpersonal skills to gain trust and respect of children and their parents.
- Passion for working with children.
