Terms of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $29.00 per hour

Work location(s): Candidates are required to work at various job locations in Surrey (BC) and/or other areas in Lower Mainland (BC) as per company’s contracts with its clients.

Job Responsibilities 

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, perform calculations, and prepare layouts.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Finish surface of woodwork in houses and buildings, using hand tools and paneling.
• Work on new ventures, remodels, or additions to existing wooden structures.
• Build foundations, install floor beams and subflooring, build walls, and install panels.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
• Operate power as well as hand tools.
• Supervise other construction workers.

Job Requirements

• Completion of secondary School.
• Completion of apprenticeship program or at least 3 years of work experience in a similar trade.
• Ability to communicate in English
• Ability and willingness to work independently with limited supervision
