Drywall Installer and Finisher
Employer: Tussnad Inc.
Job Location: Various locations in Calgary, AB
Wage: $26-$35/hour (to be negotiated, based on experience)
Employment terms and conditions: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Overtime may be required, Morning, Day, Evening

Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience
Own Equipment/Tools: Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads (Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)), Hand-eye co-ordination, Repetitive tasks, Work under pressure, Overtime required, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Manual dexterity, Physically demanding, Standing for extended periods

Duties:
- Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
- Cure freshly plastered surfaces
- Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim
- Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required
- Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
- Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster
- Clean and prepare surfaces
- Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
- Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
- Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
- Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
- Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
- Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
- Supervise other workers
- Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
- Estimate costs and materials
