Work Locations: Various Locations in Lower Mainland areas in BC as per company’s contracts with its clients
Work Conditions & physical capabilities: Physically demanding
Job Responsibilities:
- Measure cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
- Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs.
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
- Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound.
- Smooth out the excess compound and allow the coat to dry.
- Install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school required.
- Completion of Apprenticeship program in the trade or Minimum 3 years of experience in trade is required.
- Effective communication skills.
