Job Title: Cleaning Supervisor

Wage rate and hours: $27.00 per hour, 35-40 hours per week
Start date: As soon as possible
Job Location: As a cleaning supervisor, you will be required to supervise the workers working at various buildings and other job locations across Lower Mainland area
Requirements:
Experience: previous experience of 6-12 months as a regular cleaner is required. Prior experience as a supervisor is an asset
Education: Secondary(high) school graduation Certificate
Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people
Personal Suitability: Client focus, reliability, Dependability, Initiative, Excellent Written Communication
Additional Skills: Hire and train or arrange for training of cleaning staff, prepare budget and cost estimates, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Job duties:
v Perform regular cleaning duties if required
v Monitor and report performances of employees
v Prepare work schedule
v Meet current and potential clients to provide estimates of costs
v Perform duties inspection of sites to ensure established safety and cleanliness standards are met
v Hire and train cleaning staff
v Prepare budget and estimate costs for cleaning jobs
v Co-ordinate work activities with other departments
v Establish work schedules
v Assist cleaners in performing duties
v Supervise and co-ordinate activities and duties of cleaning staff
v Receive payment for specialized cleaning jobs
Work setting: Cleaning Service Company
Workers Supervised: Janitors, caretakers and building superintendents, specialized cleaners, Light Duty Cleaners
